The 2015 season opened yesterday and the Bengals swept Trinity. The Varsity opened with a 4-2 victory. The JV team won 13-5.
Senior Collin Pecoraro pitched 6 innings for the win. He struck out
12 batters, didn't walk a batter and scattered 7 hits while only giving
up 2 runs. He also added an RBI single. Senior Mark Flachbart pitched
the 7th inning for the save. Pecoraro earlier in the day announced that
he will continue his education and baseball career at Heidelberg.
Freshman Levi Pokersnik had two hits, scored two runs and stole a
base. Freshman Jordan Barnett added a hit, scored two runs, stole a
base and had an RBI. Sophomore Marlin Moore added a double, sacrifice
fly, stole a base and had an RBI.
Next Up: the Bengals play East Cleveland Shaw at Nobby's Ballpark on Saturday. First pitch @ 11am.
