Bengals Split Over Weekend, NCL Opener Today

Cold and Rain was on the menu as the Bengals had their game on Friday suspended.  The score was tied 4-4 in the 9th inning vs Bay when the game was stopped due to darkness and rain.  The weather on Saturday didn't improve much as the Bengals split a doubleheader.

Game 1 was a 11-6 victory over Firelands.  Dan Piascik led the way with 4 hits and 2 RBI.  Rey Caraballo and Robbie Cramer also added 2 RBI each. Freshman Collin Pecoraro in his first varsity pitching start went 6 innings for the win. Collin struck out 4 and gave up 4 earned runs.  The Bengals dropped Game 2 vs Tiffin Columbia 12-2.

The NCL schedule begins today.  The Bengals will travel to NDCL this afternoon and then will host NDCL tomorrow. All NCL games start at 5pm.
