From Benedictine to the World

Mitch in front of Big Ben

Leaving the eastern suburb of Mentor to come to Benedictine was a big step, but just a first step for former baseball player and golfer, Mitch Wilcosky ’09. After graduation, Mitch went on to Canisius College, a small catholic college in Buffalo, New York. He earned a renewable partial four year scholarship from the school and is majoring in political science with a minor in philosophy. At Canisius, Mitch is involved in Circle K (college’s version of key club), Alpha Sigma Nu, a Jesuit honor group and earned his paralegal certificate. He also was awarded the Raichle Pre-Law scholarship for both his junior and upcoming senior year.

This past semester Mitch also took advantage of a study abroad program in London. He is now attending London Metropolitan University. With Fridays off, Mitch has taken advantage of his time across the pond. He has been to Denmark, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Lucerne, Florence, Rome and Barcelona. He also has been cliff diving in Wales, which he says is his new favorite sport!

Once home the process of applying to law school begins. He hopes to attend a school in Washington DC or Chicago.
